The DynaTac series of cellular phones manufactured by Motorola Inc between 1984 and 1994. Martin Cooper inventor of Motorola made the first handheld mobile phone call on a prototype DynaTAC model on April 4, 1973. The Motorola DynaTac 8000x was first available on March 13, 1984. That is 30 years ago. The retail price for the phone on its release was $3,995.
